Wordsmithing & Visuals

In all aspects of life, there should exist a union of letter & word to visual beauty. Through my craft, I strive to engineer aesthetically palatable text penned with methodical clarity - my ultimate goal being to tell your truth, but slant, to dazzle your audience gradually with creative precision.

I also work in the realm of author assistant-ship, managing social media accounts, email correspondence, creative projects, & a number of other tasks involved in the work of wordsmiths.

Tell all the truth but tell it slant —
Success in Circuit lies
Too bright for our infirm Delight
The Truth's superb surprise
As Lightning to the Children eased
With explanation kind
The Truth must dazzle gradually
Or every man be blind —

by Emily Dickinson

For Authors

In my work with authors, I creatively combine my design & copy-writing work for a wide variety of roles. From sending pitch emails & writing copy for monthly newsletters to creating on-brand social-media content & illustrations, my work takes the words & worlds of authors & re-imagines them in ways that fans can digitally interact with, allowing readers to fall further in love with their favorite stories.

I feel lucky to work closely with such amazing wordsmiths in helping execute captivating creative projects. If you create stories for others to read, I would love to help you craft a meaningful & eye-catching online presence, brainstorm unique ways to connect with your readership, or simply answer your inbox of unending emails. Please contact me if you’re interested in a short or long-term creative relationship. I would be overjoyed to hear from you!

About Me

Raised in the mountains, I live in the teensy town of Brevard, NC where I spend my time traipsing the forest in search of new swimming holes and frequently crashing, knees first, off my mountain bike. My second home is the independent bookstore where I spent four years, building teetering book displays, facing my ever present reading mortality, and exploring the mesmerizing community of Southern literature. I have no children and no pets, but I do have one cactus I manage to keep alive.
